Project Overview and Key Design Considerations
Triveni Glass Limited (TGL), a veteran in the Indian glass industry, has ventured into the renewable energy sector through its new entity, Triveni Renewables Private Limited (TRPL). This project involves the establishment of a specialized solar glass manufacturing hub on a 17-acre site adjacent to their existing facility. The master plan is designed for an ultimate capacity of 850 TPD, with Phase 1 focusing on the initial 250 TPD production line.
The architectural core of Phase 1 is a massive 240m x 20m G+1 main plant building. The design emphasizes a vertical process flow where raw materials move from the high-capacity batch house into the furnace and forming zones.
A key structural challenge was engineering the G+1 configuration to accommodate the immense weight and thermal output of the solar glass furnace on the upper levels while ensuring a vibration-free environment for the precision cutting and coating processes below.

VMS Scope and Project Outcomes
VMS provided comprehensive Design Consultancy and Procurement Support. Our role was pivotal in creating a future-proof layout that allows for the seamless integration of Phase 2 (an additional 600 TPD) without disrupting the operations of the initial 250 TPD line.
Our structural team designed specialized foundations for the batch house and furnace, while our MEPF engineers developed heavy-duty utility networks for cooling and power distribution essential for continuous glass melting. By providing integrated procurement support, we helped TRPL source technical components that align with global solar glass standards. This facility marks a significant expansion for the Triveni Group, positioning them as a key player in India’s green energy supply chain by providing high-quality glass for solar modules.
