Project Overview and Key Design Considerations

As a global leader in automotive interiors, Yanfeng required a specialized manufacturing facility to support its Tier-1 supply chain for Ford Motors. The design of this Sanand plant was engineered to meet the stringent Just-In-Time (JIT) and Just-In-Sequence (JIS) delivery requirements of the automotive industry. The architectural layout focuses on a high-precision production environment for the assembly of instrument panels, cockpit modules, and decorative corner trims, requiring an ultra-clean floor and optimal lighting for quality inspection.

The structural design addressed the needs of high-speed injection molding and assembly lines. We prioritized wide-span areas to allow for the flexible reconfiguration of production cells as vehicle models evolve.

VMS Scope and Project Outcomes

VMS provided a comprehensive suite of engineering services. Our scope involved the detailed planning of high-efficiency utility networks, including compressed air and stable electrical power essential for precision molding and safety component assembly. We engineered specialized fire protection and ventilation systems for automotive interiors.

The successful delivery of this plant enabled Yanfeng to establish a critical manufacturing node in the Sanand automotive cluster.
