Project Overview and Key Design Considerations

AB Mauri, a UK-based global leader in bakery ingredients with over 150 years of heritage, established this facility as its first manufacturing footprint in Gujarat. Located within the Fanidhar Mega Food Park, the plant is specialized for the high-precision processing of spices, specifically coriander and cumin seeds. 

The architectural and structural challenge involved designing a facility that could support a multi-stage processing line: a 1MT/hr cleaning station, 500 KG/hr grinding, and a 500 KG/hr sterilization unit. Given the nature of spice processing, our design prioritized dust control and hygiene. We engineered specialized Mild Steel (MS) structures to support heavy process machinery, ensuring vibration isolation and structural integrity for the elevated processing platforms required for gravity-fed spice production.

VMS Scope and Project Outcomes

VMS provided a comprehensive multidisciplinary suite of services. Our Structural scope was particularly critical, as it included the detailed engineering of the internal MS structures that directly support the process machinery. We also delivered full Plumbing, PHE, and Utility designs, alongside specialized Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems to maintain the low-humidity environment essential for spice grinding and storage.

Beyond engineering, VMS provided crucial Procurement Assistance to ensure that the equipment and materials met AB Mauri’s stringent global standards.
