Project Overview and Key Design Considerations
SIG, a Swiss-headquartered global leader in aseptic packaging, has established its first production plant in India to serve the country’s booming dairy and non-carbonated soft drink markets. This facility is built-to-suit (BTS) within the Horizon Industrial Park (a Blackstone logistics platform). It is designed to meet the highest environmental and hygiene standards required for aseptic “food-grade” manufacturing, with an initial annual production capacity of up to 4 billion carton packs.
The architectural design implements a highly specialized industrial environment that facilitates aseptic carton production. With a Phase-1 built-up area of 3,31,559 sq. ft. on a 38-acre plot, the plant features clean-room environments, climate-controlled storage for raw materials, and high-precision machinery zones.

VMS Scope and Project Outcomes
VMS served as the Architectural and Engineering Design Consultant for Phase-1, appointed by Horizon Industrial Parks (HIPPL). Our scope encompassed the full technical design required for a world-class BTS facility, ensuring the infrastructure met the rigorous global specifications of SIG Combibloc.
The successful delivery of this flagship plant has positioned SIG to significantly reduce lead times for Indian beverage manufacturers. Our integrated design approach balanced the developer’s (HIPPL) requirements for high-quality Grade-A industrial assets with the tenant’s (SIG) need for a technologically advanced, “Packaging for Better” manufacturing hub.
