This facility was developed for the Indian subsidiary of the Italian MNC, Sacmi Group, to manufacture specialized equipment for the ceramics and beverage packaging sectors. The design focuses on accommodating high-precision assembly lines for complex machinery and complete plant systems. Our architectural approach prioritized a flexible, open-span layout to facilitate the assembly of large-scale industrial components while maintaining the high aesthetic and functional standards typical of European manufacturing hubs.

The structural design addresses the significant floor-loading requirements of heavy-duty fabrication and testing equipment. We integrated advanced material handling systems and overhead cranes into solid structures to ensure smooth operational transitions. The layout emphasizes a lean manufacturing workflow, optimizing the journey from raw material processing to final equipment calibration.

VMS Scope and Project Outcomes

VMS provided integrated Engineering and Design services, including Architectural and Structural planning, to establish this world-class manufacturing base in the Sanand GIDC. Our scope involved the design of specialized MEPF systems and high-efficiency utilities to meet the precision requirements of machine tool manufacturing. We coordinated the electrical and mechanical infrastructure to support automated production lines, ensuring stable power distribution and optimal ventilation for a safe, high-productivity industrial environment.

Our multidisciplinary expertise ensured the facility met both local regulatory codes and the client’s stringent global safety benchmarks. The plant now stands as a critical manufacturing node for Sacmi India, combining Italian engineering heritage with VMS’s resilient and efficient infrastructure design.
