Project Overview and Key Design Considerations
This large-scale textile project involved designing a high-efficiency spinning mill to house 51,072 spindles for cotton yarn production.
The primary design challenge was to create an expansive, column-free floor plate that allows for the seamless installation of long-ring frames and automated winding machinery. We focused on optimizing the internal micro-environment to ensure consistent yarn quality across varying counts, from Ne 8s to Ne 40s.
The structural framework was engineered to mitigate the high-frequency vibrations inherent in spinning operations while supporting massive roof-mounted ventilation units. Our architectural layout prioritizes a unidirectional material flow—from cotton bale plucking to final yarn conditioning and packing.

VMS Scope and Project Outcomes
VMS delivered integrated Architectural, Structural, and MEPF consultancy services, focusing on the rigorous utility requirements of a modern textile mill. We designed specialized HVAC and humidification systems critical for maintaining the fiber moisture content required for high-speed spinning.
The plant is now a core asset in Fiotex’s portfolio, providing the technical resilience needed to diversify into value-added textile products and expand their global market presence.
