HRPL Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., the parent company behind the iconic Hocco brand, is a legacy name in the Indian food and beverage industry. Re-entering the ice cream market with high momentum, the group established a modern manufacturing campus in Bavla to meet surging national demand.
The facility is engineered to produce a diverse product mix from traditional ice creams and innovative milkshakes to healthy protein-based bars. Our architectural focus was on maintaining a strictly hygienic “food-grade” environment, integrating advanced refrigeration and rapid-cooling zones essential for high-volume dairy production. The layout supports high-speed mechanization, featuring automated lines that can churn out over 10,000 cones per hour.
With the completion of Phases 1 and 2, the facility has already significantly boosted capacity, while the ongoing Phase 3 expansion is set to push the plant’s production even further to meet the brand’s goal of 4.5 lakh litres per day.

VMS Scope and Project Outcomes
VMS has been the end-to-end engineering partner for HRPL through every expansion cycle. Our scope across all phases includes Architectural, Structural, Electrical, HVAC, and Fire Protection services. Our HVAC and utility design was key to ensuring energy efficiency and thermal stability.
The phased development approach allowed HRPL to commence operations quickly while continuously adding capacity without disrupting the existing production. Our structural team designed specialized, heavy-load flooring for cold storage and automated racking systems, while the electrical infrastructure was built to handle high-surge processing loads.
