Project Overview and Key Design Considerations

Insolation Energy Limited (INA Solar), a BSE-listed leader in the Indian solar industry, is significantly scaling its operations with a new 45-acre mega-campus in Sawarda. This greenfield project is designed to be Rajasthan’s first fully automated and AI-enabled solar manufacturing facility. The campus integrates a high-capacity 2 GW Solar PV module line (targeting 3 GW N-Type/TOPCon modules) with a massive 1,000 MT/month Aluminum Anodizing unit dedicated to solar frame production.

The architectural challenge involves managing a combined built-up area of approximately 45,000 sq. mt. while maintaining the ultra-clean standards required for high-efficiency module assembly. The layout separates the chemically intensive aluminum anodizing and extrusion areas from the sensitive module assembly lines with AI-based quality inspection.

VMS is proud to serve as the Design Consultancy Partner for this landmark renewable energy hub. Our multidisciplinary scope includes Master Planning, Architecture, Structural Engineering, and MEP Services, along with Tendering and Procurement support. We engineered the facility to support Industry 4.0 standards, integrating IoT-enabled monitoring and advanced Building Management Systems (BMS) to optimize energy usage across the plant.

Our structural team designed specialized foundations for the high-precision stringer and laminator machines, while our MEPF engineers developed complex chemical drainage and treatment systems for the aluminum anodizing unit.
