Project Overview and Key Design Considerations

Truetzschler India, the Indian subsidiary of the Germany-based Trützschler Group SE, has inaugurated its largest and most technologically advanced manufacturing facility globally in Sanand-II GIDC.

The architectural layout for Phase 1 covers a built-up area of approximately 72,000 sq. m., housing specialized production lines for blow room machines, high-speed carding machines, and draw frames. A critical design feature is the highly advanced 67,000 sq. m. production shop floor, which integrates high-precision CNC machinery and climate-controlled assembly zones.

VMS Scope and Project Outcomes

VMS provided end-to-end Design and Engineering Consultancy, delivering a comprehensive suite of services including Master Planning, Architectural, Civil, Structural, and MEPF design. Our scope was uniquely enhanced by the implementation of BIM at LOD200 and a centralized BMS.

Sustainability was a core mandate, and VMS engineered the facility to target an IGBC Gold Rating. The design incorporates a large-scale rooftop solar plant, AI-powered process optimization, rainwater harvesting, and zero-wastewater discharge systems. We have ensured that Truetzschler sets a benchmark for sustainable industrial manufacturing in India.
