Project Overview and Key Design Considerations

As part of their strategic expansion into the Indian automotive hub, Thailand-based Vee Rubber established this large-scale manufacturing facility to produce high-quality tyres and tubes for both OEM and replacement markets. The architectural design was centered on a “continuous-flow” industrial layout, essential for the intensive rubber compounding, extrusion, and tyre curing processes.

Given the heavy machinery involved, the structural design prioritized high-load-bearing floors and specialized foundations to manage the vibration and thermal stress of the curing presses. The facility was planned with massive clear spans to facilitate the movement of large raw material rolls and finished goods.

VMS Scope and Project Outcomes

VMS provided a comprehensive multidisciplinary engineering suite, including Master Planning, Architecture, and Structural Engineering. Our scope was critical in designing the heavy utility infrastructure required for tyre manufacturing, such as high-pressure steam distribution, compressed air systems, and specialized industrial drainage.

The successful delivery of this greenfield facility enabled Vee Rubber to establish a strong manufacturing foothold in India, strategically located near major automotive OEMs. Our integrated design approach ensured the plant achieved high operational efficiency while meeting international safety and quality standards.
