Project Overview and Key Design Considerations
Siemens Gamesa required specialized high-tech facilities to manufacture large-scale wind turbine components, including blades, generators, and nacelles. The design for these sites focused on accommodating the extraordinary dimensions of turbine blades and the heavy structural loads of generator assembly. Our architectural approach prioritized massive, unobstructed clear spans and ultra-long linear layouts to facilitate the complex composite molding and curing processes essential for high-performance wind energy products.
The structural engineering addressed the dynamic loads of high-capacity overhead cranes used for moving nacelles and generators. We integrated specialized climate-controlled zones and dust-free environments to maintain the chemical integrity of blade composites. Both Halol and Nellore sites feature a seamless logistical flow for raw material infusion to testing and dispatch, meeting the highest international standards for quality and safety.
