Project Overview and Key Design Considerations
Shubham Extrusion, a global exporter to over 65 countries, required a specialized facility to expand their manufacturing capacity for blown film plants. The design for this 12,000 sqm facility focuses on integrating a complex fabrication shop with dedicated assembly and R&D zones. A critical architectural requirement was accommodating approximately 20 cranes with 5–10 MT capacities, requiring strong structures to handle simultaneous lifting operations across the assembly floor.
The layout was engineered to facilitate the integration of precision-imported components from Germany and the US with locally fabricated parts. We designed high-bay sheds to accommodate the vertical height required for testing tall blown film extrusion towers.

VMS Scope and Project Outcomes
VMS provided a comprehensive range of services, including Master Planning, Architectural, Civil, and Structural design, along with full MEPF and HVAC services. Our structural engineering was pivotal in designing the crane-gantry systems and heavy-load foundations required for intensive fabrication work. We also delivered specialized Procurement services to ensure that the materials and utilities met the high technical benchmarks.
The successful completion of this greenfield project has enabled Shubham Extrusion to significantly scale their production capabilities beyond their Vatva GIDC facility.
