Introduction:

A lot of planning goes into the engineering design and construction of a food processing plant. It is critical to collect data from diverse sources into easily shared documents. Planning sessions frequently require the knowledge of specialists who are not on staff full-time, such as engineers, lawyers, insurance brokers, and others. VMS consultants fill this void. The engineering portion of a design project consists mostly of developing the process flowsheet, material and energy balances, and process equipment size.
